The Art of Robert Sarsony

Robert Sarsony paints pin up in the tradition of the best pin up artists of the past. He includes many of the ingredients of the pin ups of the 40's and 50's--the girl is friendly, warmhearted, humorous and approachable. The costumes are innocent and perhaps a little more revealing than in the past. However, his interpretation or emphasis is very much unique. His viewpoint or angle of viewing the figure is almost always low. We are usually looking up at the girls and almost always we see the curves of a beautiful derriere.
Sarsony (born 1938) has been painting and showing his work in this country's finest galleries for over thirty years. His originals are in many museum collections including the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, D.C.
