George Rowley received over 350 credits in cartoons ranging from classic Disney features to shorts at Hana-Barbera. Worked on everything from Snow White, Peter Pan and Pinocchio, Fantasia, Alice in Wonderland to Scooby Doo and many other things at Hana-Barbera. Contained in the estate of a production manager at Disney during the war years, I have two large graphite originalpinupss by Rowley, glamorous women, one of which is semi-nude. These are excellent examples of the pinup tradition, although I don't know how many such drawings Rowley ever made. Rowley may have helped with the short-lived Dispatch from Disney, a publication for studio personnel fighting in the war, which sometimes included dumbed down pinups of women. These are more formal and adult, and certainly in the best pinup tradition. They are enough outside of my collecting interests that I'd like to sell them. I have jpegs of them both. Were I to keep them, I'd consider some surface cleaning to rid them of mat burn and old tape stains. They're in good condition for their age, and would respond well to minor conservation. I have jpegs of them both. Would you be interested in seeing them? A consignment arrangement would also be acceptable. Thanks. Sam Grabarski |

I had seen it first-run many years ago in 3D. I have some original drawings by Bill Randall. [ brunette sitting on chair with a rather strange looking piece of modern art behind her, and she is asking if what she sees is her. There are two drawings along the edge. In one the artist is saying "smile" and in the other she is hitting him with a brushfull of paint. The second piece by Bill Randall we see the same girl with her hair tied in a pink ribbon at a telephone PBX - She is very tangled in the trunk line cords.
